On This Green Earth, Ella Sorensen, manager of the Gillmor Audubon Sanctuary, and Don Paul, a biologist for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources join the show.

They come on to discuss Utah Governor Spencer Cox's declaration to make 2021 the “Year of the Shorebird”.

With the Great Salt Lake currently standing just over a foot above its lowest level in recorded history during the time of year when the lake is normally at its highest levels, the timely declaration is a good reminder that in order for the Lake’s ecosystem to thrive, all Utahns must do their part to try to conserve water.

We also get the scoop on the infamous Great Salt Lake flamingo known as Pink Floyd.
