Water Waste Contest Winner

Gunnar Sorensen

Gunnar Sorensen is this week's Water Waste Contest Winner!

Judges have chosen another winner for the KPCW Summer Water Waste Photo Contest.

Ten-year-old Gunnar Sorensen sent in a photo while biking on Deer Valley Drive. In the photo, you can see water streaming from the front of a bright red fire hydrant. He wrote that water is being wasted because it’s coming from a fire hydrant, and the fire department should know how important water is. He suggests tightening the places where the water is leaking or replacing the hydrant.

Gunnar is the winner of Squatters, Black Diamond Gymnastics, Booster Juice, summer lift tickets to Deer Valley Resort and a bundle of local music.

He is also entered to win the cash prize at the end of the contest which will be announced during our pledge drive.

Summit and Wasatch county students are invited to submit their photos of outdoor water waste to contest@kpcw.org be entered into the contest.
