SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - For the second month in a row, Utah's unemployment rate fell again and is now at its lowest rate in five and a half years.
The latest jobless report released by the Department of Workforce Services on Friday shows May's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.6%.
That number is lower than a month earlier, when the rate was 3.8%.
It also remains well below the national jobless rate of 6.3%.
The rate of unemployed Utah workers has been slowly falling back to its pre-recession level of 3.4% in November of 2008.
DWS reports that Utah added 37,500 jobs last month over May of 2013.
