Then a conversation about childhood mental illness with Liza Long. She has written a book called the Price of Silence: A Mom's Perspective on Mental Illness. It's expanded from a sober blog she wrote nearly two years ago after hearing about the Newtown, Connecticut, shootings perpetrated by Adam Lanza. Her blog, that went viral was called, “I am Adam Lanza’s mother,” she talks about her own child’s mental illness and about why the very serious conversation about childhood metal illness needs to be brought to light. Samantha Walsh, intervention specialist from Park City High school also joins us in the conversation.
