The Summit County Council did not decide about a road connection in Wednesday's meeting. The road is North of Interstate 80 from lower Silver Creek over to the Bitner frontage road.
The topic drew about 100 people filling up the council's meeting room. The county heard objections from a ranch-owning family with property nearby, as well as a fairly new neighborhood that said they will be badly impacted by one of the options. Others emphasized the focus should be on safety. Rick Brough has more:
