The Summit County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest Thursday morning.

Some Wanship residents woke up to a slew of law enforcement vehicles parked outside a home Thursday on the corner of Funny Ave. and S.R. 32.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, a three-month long investigation ended with a 26-year-old mother’s arrest on multiple charges, including two counts of child endangerment.

Detectives found methamphetamine, marijuana, and multiple guns. The woman is on a restricted persons list and is therefore not allowed to possess firearms.

Two children were removed from the home and Child and Family Services were called to help with their care and safety.

A Wanship resident who wished to remain anonymous said many residents in the area have been concerned about the house and the safety of the children for, “a long time.”

The woman was booked into Summit County jail on possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, six counts of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and two counts of child endangerment.
