Canyons Resort has won a victory from the Utah Supreme Court. A trial jury award of over $54 million, levied against Wolf Mountain two years ago, in favor of the resort, will stand under a ruling issued April 3rd from the high court. Wolf Mountain had appealed, after a seven-week trial in 2011 resulted in the jury verdict for American Skiing of Utah, the resort’s owner. The Supreme Court ruled that Wolf Mountain failed to show that the district court judge at trial committed errors or abused his discretion in any way. Rick Brough has more.
