Summit County and the private Summit Water Company joined last year in a regional water compact, but there are still some financial disputes between the two entitles.
Summit Water has filed suit, saying that the county has held out $75,000 in a tax refund owed to the private firm. That's also related to a dispute before the Utah State Tax Commission, with over $800,000 at stake. Both sides are awaiting a ruling on that from an Administrative Law Judge. Rick Brough has more.
