Summit County Improves Transit and Transportation With New Sales Tax

Summit County voters approved two, half-percent sales tax increases last year for transportation and transit needs. The county didn't start collecting the taxes - estimated to raise more than $8 million each year - until this past April so only about half of that amount was collected.
