The Park City Day School is the outcome of a merger of two local private schools: the Park City Academy and the Colby School. They’ve been operating since 2010 offering preschool through eighth grade. The learning model used considers the whole child, which means they put emphasis on student’s emotional as well as academic development. The school is working on International Baccalaureate accreditation. There is also a student-led effort to ban single use plastic bags in Summit County. Carolyn Murray has the story:
