UDOT will close I-80 West bound tonight at 9 and open tomorrow morning at 7.
UDOT is replacing a bridge deck on I-80 westbound at the I-84 interchange. Traffic will be detoured off I-80 onto I-84 through Hennefer.
One eastbound lane will also be closed tonight so travelers may have delays heading east on I-80 after the I-84 interchange.
A UDOT spokesperson says the detour on I-84 should take just 10 to 15 minutes longer.
The WB I-80 closure near Echo is expected to continue each night for the rest of this week as crews continue to remove the top layers of the bridge. The eastbound closure will follow later. Stay tuned to KPCW for those details.
