Peace House’s annual Bling Fling is back again this week.

Peace House Board Member Julie Joyce says the Bling Fling is now in its sixth year.

“It’s been great to see it grow every year,” Joyce continued. “This is an opportunity for people to shop gently used accessories. Primarily jewelry, scarves, handbags, and belts, that have been very generously donated from the community. We’ll have them on sale at the Park City Community Church beginning Thursday November 14th at our preview party and then November 15th and 16th as well.”

Thursday’s preview party is a ticketed event

“It's a nice exclusive shopping event where you really get the best selection of the merchandise that’s out,” Joyce explained. “Catering has generously been provided by Ellie's private chefs and catering, and if you haven't tasted her food it's amazing. We have a jazz duo performing and we also have a small silent auction. So, it's a really fun event to come get your Christmas shopping done; maybe buy a little treat for yourself. That is Thursday night starting at 5:30 until 8:00 o'clock.”

Tickets to the preview party cost $30 through Wednesday, $35 day of. Bling Fling continues on Friday and Saturday with just a $5 entrance fee. You can find tickets on their website. Last year the event raised over $50,000. The money raised during Bling Fling goes towards Peace House operations.

“We recently moved into our new community campus where we'll go from being able to support 15 residents in shelter; to having both emergency shelter and transitional housing capable of supporting up to 60 people,” Joyce said.
