Utah High School Activities Association

The governing association of high school sports has suspended all sports through at least May 1st.

The Utah High School Activities Association is the governing body of all high school athletics in the state. On Monday they announced an extension of the ongoing suspension of spring activities and athletics due to state efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In their Monday statement the association stated that all practice, team gatherings and events will be suspended at least until May 1st, which falls in line with the state’s extension of the school soft closure. The association has not officially cancelled the seasons entirely.

Spring activities suspended include the state theatre festivals, lacrosse, track and field, girl’s golf and softball, as well as boy’s tennis, soccer and baseball.
