Alterra Mountain Company — the owner of Deer Valley Resorts — announced preliminary plans for the 2020-2021 ski season.

Rusty Gregory -the CEO of Alterra- sent out a press release Monday morning. He said the resort’s priority is the health and safety of the guests, employees, and the local community.

He said to ensure safety the resort will limit visitation. They will try to mitigate overcrowding by prioritizing access for season pass holders. They will also limit the number of daily lift tickets.

Tickets will only be available through advanced purchases…meaning there will be no more walk-up window sales.

Deer Valley will open for the season on December 5, and Solitude will open November 20.

Ikon Pass — which can be used at Solitude, Snowbird, Brighton and Deer Valley Resort — also released news on their passes. They said they will be temporarily regulating or eliminating a number of day tickets products.

Lift reservations will be required at Brighton, but not required at this time at Snowbird, Solitude or Deer Valley.
