Lynn Ware Peek speaks with retired Navy Admiral James "Sandy" Winnefeld who served as vice chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and was the number two ranking military officer in the U.S. The admiral, along with his wife Mary, co-chair S.A.F.E. Project US (Stop the Addiction Fatality Epidemic) and are bringing their nationwide crusade to defeat the opioid epidemic to Summit County as part of the Connect community education series on Tuesday, May 8, at the Blair Education Center of the Park City Hospital. The Winnefelds lost their 19-year old-son Jonathan on September 7, 2017, to a heroin overdose as a result of opioid addiction.
