Josephs covers the airline industry for CNBC and has been documenting airlines’ financial losses since the coronavirus spread around the world, with U.S. carriers alone losing more than $15 billion in the first half of the year. Josephs’ reporting drills down into the pandemic’s long-lasting impact on airlines and the jobs at risk in the industry, which employs some 750,000 people in the United States, supporting countless others.
