Park City Transportation Seeking Public Comment On Upcoming Old Town Circulation Projects

KPCW Radio

Park City Municipal is hosting a community question-and-answer session Wednesday on the topic of transportation projects and planning efforts in the Old Town area.

The Park City Transportation Department is crafting a plan to address traffic access and circulationissues in Park City’s Old Town, engaging in data collection and soliciting input from the public to guide the implementation of different transportation projects.

The Q & A will feature information about projects that can be implemented in the near term, such as pedestrian safety and access improvements and wayfinding signage for visitors on Deer Valley Drive.

The public can also give feedback on staff-recommended projects and policies, including implementing designated rideshare and shuttle drop-off zones on Main Street and wayfinding at Hillside and Daly Avenues, to direct visitors away from residential areas and back down Swede Alley.

The transportation Q & A is Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 5 p.m. at the Park City Library Community Room. The public an also attend the city council meeting on Aug. 15, where the policies and projects will be discussed, and give input for the record there. If those interested in commenting can’t attend either event, they can submit comments to transportation planner Alexis Verson, at alexis.verson@parkcity.org.
