Two Wasatch High School students were taken into custody after making possible threats against the school.
The arrests were made after the two students made a statement to a fellow classmate. The classmate informed their parents, who alerted Heber City Police, according to a press release from Wasatch County School District.
The two students who made the threats were taken into custody by school resource officers Saturday. They were charged with threats of terrorism, which is a second-degree felony and threats against a school, which is a class A misdemeanor.
Officers said there is no current threat to the school, and classes will resume as normal Monday morning.
The two students have been transferred to a juvenile detention center. Further investigation is ongoing.
