Thursday was opening night of  86th annual Oakley Rodeo. It was the first rodeo that lifelong Oakley resident Ken Woolstenhulme didn’t attend as he had passed away just last week. In his honor, the rodeo will open each of the four nights of the rodeo this year with a short tribute to Woolstenhulme. His horse Sizzler is escorted around the  arena – riderless – with chaps hanging from the sides of the saddle and boots placed backwards in the stirrups – a traditional cowboy tribute.
