Grappa will be closed through the weekend.

Early Wednesday morning firefighters were called to a fire at Grappa restaurant at 151 Main Street in the historic part of Park City.

According to Michelle Anderson, spokesperson for the Park City Fire District, the cause of the fire is under investigation. She added that witnesses told firefighters a pan with oil in it caught fire.

First reports of the fire came a little after 8 a.m. A big plume of smoke hung over the top of Main Street. Around 8:45, the smoke had diminished as fire crews continued to put out the fire.

The Bill White Restaurant Group, which owns Grappa, reported no one was injured in the fire. The restaurant will be closed through the weekend while staff members assess damage. People who made reservations should expect to hear from the restaurant directly.
