Donor Privacy Policy
I. GENERAL
KPCW’s Donor Privacy Policy provides an overview of how we manage and maintain any personal data that we collect from you or that you provide as a financial donor, either online or offline. KPCW recognizes that you have entrusted us with the appropriate stewarding of your charitable contributions. We will never sell or trade your personal information and will not share your contact information with any outside entity or person without your expressed consent.
KPCW maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with industry standards and practices, and we review and adjust these safeguards regularly in response to advances in technology and efficiency. Access to confidential donation records is limited to only those employees who manage donor relationships and conduct data maintenance. Should another KPCW staff member request contact information, such as email or phone number, for a valid and reasonable business purpose, that information may be shared internally. KPCW will not share donor contact information with outside entities without permission.
As a valued contributor to KPCW, you will be opted-in to receive email communications in the form of monthly marketing emails. KPCW Broadcasters Club members will also receive invitations to events via email. You may opt out of these email communications at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting KPCW. KPCW may also use your information to track engagement on our website and attendance at KPCW-hosted events. This allows us to assess which of our services are most meaningful so we can better meet the needs of our audience and supporters. It also allows us to provide aggregate, non-specific data about audience reach, and event attendance as proof of performance to outside parties (e.g. corporate underwriters and charitable foundations) whose support is also essential for KPCW to thrive.
This policy may be altered or updated periodically. Amendments and updates will be posted on this website. If the policy is materially altered, the new policy will be promptly posted to this website. Any subsequent donation to KPCW by you will be deemed as your agreement that your information may be used in accordance with the new policy. If you do not agree with the changes, please notify us that you do not want your information used in accordance with the changes.
II. USE AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
By providing information to KPCW, you acknowledge, consent and agree that KPCW may access, read, preserve and disclose the personal information you provide to us as a donor, along with usage history, submitted messages or data and similar information regarding your use of the website in order to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental requirement; (b) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; (c) respond to your requests for customer service; (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of KPCW, its visitors, and the public; (e) sell any or all of our business assets; and (f) as otherwise set forth herein. With regard to Broadcasters Club members, we publish member names on our website. Broadcasters Club members may request not to be listed should they prefer not to be recognized publicly.
