KPCW has a long history of being made for, by and of volunteers, and we could not be a true community radio station without the many hands and voices that help us. We have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Here are some of our most urgent needs:
KPCW is has multiple events and programs it promotes throughout the year, and lordy, we could use some help:
- Updating the KPCW website
- Hanging posters
- Social media outreach
- Staffing outreach events
Our news department is small but mighty. Still, there is always a need for help
- Posting news stories on the KPCW website.
- Copy editing public service announcements and other submissions
- Photographing at events and meetings
We need many volunteers during our semi-annual fund drives. Volunteering during a fund drive includes answering phones, taking pledges or performing other office work. No matter your duties, you’ll certainly enjoy good food and good times. Our next Pledge Drive is mid-February, but we start working on it now!
KPCW does not currently have any formal internship programs, but we can work on a case-by-case basis with students and graduates of all ages to create something useful, helpful and unpaid.
We are currently fully staffed with hosts for music and public affairs programs, as well as voiceover talent, but it is always a fluid staffing. If you are interested in being on the air or voicing underwriting spots, fill out the form below and we will get back to you. We suggest becoming involved in other areas of KPCW while waiting for a position to open up; we draw from people we know first before reaching out to strangers.
If you are interested in volunteering at KPCW, or if you have a question for us, please email email@example.com.
