Guardsman Pass reopens for summer season

Utah Department of Transportation
Guardsman Pass offers seasonal access to the Bonanza Flat open space and trail network.

The seasonal road between Park City and Brighton opens for the summer season Tuesday at 8 a.m.

The Utah Department of Transportation says that’s a day later than originally planned because a weekend snowstorm hit the Wasatch Back.

Guardsman Pass joins other seasonal roads around the state in reopening for the summer. State Route 35, or Wolf Creek Summit, is already open. So is state Route 65, the East Canyon road.

However, Mirror Lake Highway, which runs east of Kamas to near the Wyoming border, is still closed.

For a full list of seasonal roads and their current status, visit UDOT's website.
