Craig Cooper
Volunteer Air ForceEvery Thursday, 10-12 PM
Craig has been a regular volunteer DJ at KPCW since 1995 and a Park City area resident since 1985 - when volunteers had to get an FCC license to be on the air. One thing he is proud of - and he admits, he's not proud of much - are his volunteering ties: he's be active for decades in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Lion Club International (where he is now District Governor-elect of Northern Utah), the Peace House, Friends of Animals, and the Make A Wish Foundation.
When he's not giving his time away, he is a personal financial representative for Allstate Insurance, and his sweet work balcony - looking over Main Street, Park City - has been home base for the KPCW broadcast of the July 4th parade since forever.
His musical tastes land just about everywhere on the spectrum - from the alt country sounds of Steve Earl to the gospel vibrations of Aretha Franklin to the textured music of Pink Floyd. On the air, he favors singer-songwriters, and especially up-and-coming songs that might surprise and delight. He loves to create a groove during his show, so don't call in with a request for Madonna, Lady Gaga, or Adele.
