The Utah Department of Health reported no additional COVID-19 deaths on Saturday and single-digit numbers of new cases were reported in Summit and Wasatch Counties.
Saturday saw only two new COVID-19 cases in Summit County, the lowest single-day case count since March 7th, when the county reported no new cases. Wasatch County reported six new cases on Saturday, rebounding from a 12 case day on Friday.
Statewide, 413 new COVID-19 cases were reported by the Health Department. The statewide rolling seven-day average for positive tests is now 394 per day.
After 7,575 people were tested, the seven-day averages for the percentage of positive tests is now 7.6% for people-over-people and 3.8% for tests-over-tests. Both averages are unchanged from Friday.
Currently, 140 Utahns are hospitalized with the disease, 19 fewer than Friday. Statewide COVID-19 referral center ICUs are now 77.3% full.
No new COVID-19 deaths were reported on Saturday. To date, 2,164 Utahns have died of the disease. 11 people have died in Summit County and 21 in Wasatch County.
More than 27,000 vaccines were administered across the state and the total number of doses administered so far is 1,880,000.
