Wells Fargo Kimball Junction

On Saturday evening law enforcement in Roseburg, Oregon, about 13 hours away from Park City, were called on the report of a suspected car jacking. When law enforcement arrived one man Matthew Anthony Fanelli, 30, of New Mexico took off in the previously stolen car. The other suspect in the series of crimes Jose Lopez-Jovel, 31, of El Salvador was left behind and arrested by law enforcement officers.

Fanelli took off while officers followed in a high speed chase. During the chase Fanelli shot several times and hit a several vehicles on the road including a police car and a passenger car striking the occupied child seat inside. Police lost sight of Fanelli for a short time, the man pulled over to the house of a couple who had just arrived home. Fanelli attempted to car jack their car and shot the man who was critically injured, police say they will release his identity and status at a later date, Fanelli also assaulted the woman. Law Enforcement arrived on scene and booked him in jail.

In addition to the bank robbery at Kimball Junction and the charges from the crimes in Oregon the men are wanted in connection to a bank robbery in Cheyenne, Wyoming and a homicide in Colorado.
