Head On Collision Near Wallsburg Results In Two Flights To Nearby Hospitals

The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on US 189 near the Wallsburg turnoff according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Around 12:40 in the afternoon a silver Toyota Corolla traveling southbound towards Provo on US 189 crossed over the center lane into the northbound lanes. There a green Ford F250 pickup truck traveling towards Heber moved to avoid a collision but was hit on the front driver side by the front driver side of the Corolla.

Utah Highway Patrol reports the Corolla was pushed backwards and came to rest in the center lane while the F250 came to a stop on the shoulder. The driver of the Corolla was freed from the wreckage by first responders and flown by air ambulance to a nearby hospital, the driver of the F250 was partially ejected and also flown by air ambulance. Officers are still investigating why the Toyota travelled into the oncoming lane of traffic.
