Cal Flyn author of The Savage Landscape: How We Made the Wilderness

Award-winning and critically acclaimed writer Cal Flyn discusses her exploration of the world’s wildest, most remote places and the humans who have always lived there.

In her new book, "The Savage Landscape: How We Made the Wilderness," Flyn takes us on a journey through dark forests, to the tops of mountains and into the hearts of deserts—asking us to ponder the nature of wilderness, its preservation and its meaning.

Claire is the producer and co-host of This Green Earth and host of The Local View.
Seth Arens is the Utah Research Information Specialist for the Western Water Assessment. His work focuses on climate, air quality, water and ecosystem science, with research experience spanning Utah, Alaska and Greenland.
