In a release Vail stated their top priority was the health and wellbeing of their guests and employees, and to the communities where they operate.
The mountain company, which owns Park City Mountain Resort, announced that they will suspend all operations of their North American resorts and retail stores beginning Sunday, March 15 through Sunday March 22. During that time the company will reassess their approach for the rest of the season.
Lodging and property management operations will remain open to service those on location or those with future reservations, but no new reservations will be accepted for the coming week.
The company also announced that all employees including seasonal employees will be paid during the eight day period without having to use vacation or sick days.
Information on cancellations, refunds and travel credits can be found on resort websites.
