They discuss her new book: Food Without Fear, in which she details how one in five people in the U.S. has a health condition related to food—from disruptive sensitivities and intolerances to serious allergic reactions that can send them to the ER. These food-related problems are on a historic rise across all ages.

Dálvi: Six Years in the Arctic Tundra author Laura Galloway's memoir | Nov. 3, 2021
Laura Galloway joins the show and talks about her memoir Dálvi: Six Years in the Arctic Tundra. An ancestry test suggesting she shared some DNA with the Sámi people, the indigenous inhabitants of the Arctic tundra. The results ultimately led Galloway to leave New York for a tiny town in the Arctic region of Norway. Dálvi is the story of her time in a reindeer-herding village in the Arctic, forging a solitary existence as she struggled to learn the language and make her way in a remote community for which there were no guidebooks or manuals for how to fit in.
