Longtime area resident Debra West recently founded Liberty Sanctuary, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating healthy, viable horses from the slaughter pipeline and advocating for them legislatively.
Its Night of Liberty fundraiser will be July 27 at 7 p.m. at The Lakehouse at Deer Creek. It will feature wine, food, a trunk show and an online auction. Tickets can be purchased here.
