The Utah Department of Transportation, with help from Wasatch County, is making progress toward clearing a section of Guardsman Pass.

UDOT said on social media Wednesday the goal is to open the road by May 22.

State Route 190, also known as Guardsman Pass Road, is a seasonal road that stretches from Brighton to the top of Bonanza Flat, where state Route 224 ends. North Pine Canyon Road, which also meets SR 224, links the Heber Valley to Guardsman Pass

As of May 7 the only open seasonal road in Utah is state Route 35, Wolf Creek Summit.
