Park City Recreation offers summer youth skateboard camps for ages 6-18 starting June 17th! Camps are held Monday-Thursday with sessions from 8:30-9:30am and 9:45-10:45. On Saturday, May 18 from 9am - 1pm, the Village Bicycle Project is holding its Park City Spring Bike Drop at the PCMR Canyons Village Cabriolet Parking Lot . Donations can be any adult or youth bike in roughly usable condition. Used parts, tires, tubes and cycling clothing will also be accepted. A $25 donation to offset shipping is also requested. Basin Recreation kicks off summer with a 5K fun run, featuring powdered paint stations that will colorfully entertain. A 1-mile run and a 100-yard dash (ages 4 and under) will follow. Held at Willow Creek Park on June 8 from 9am-Noon. Cost is $15 per person or $50 per family. Basin Rec is also looking for volunteers to help during the event! The Summit County’s Weeds Division is hosting a Community Noxious Weeds Tour on Saturday, May 18 from 9 AM to 12 PM to educate residents about the County's “Most Wanted” weeds and how to control them on your own property.
Residents will meet Summit County, Basin Recreation, Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, Mountain Trails Foundation, and Park City Municipal, at Richardson Flat Park and Ride to learn to identify and control noxious weeds.
