Mark May 13th, from 4pm to 5pm on your calendars, for the inaugural class of Sages & Seekers! On Monday, gather at the Park City Library's Jim Santy Auditorium to honor the wonderful exchanges between our sages (adults 60+) and our seekers (teens). Each seeker will share a tribute to their sage. Prepare to be inspired by impactful stories and a renewed appreciation for connection and community.

The Caregivers' Support Group is for those caring for a loved one with dementia and/or other illness. The group meets on Fridays Jan. 5 and 19; Feb. 2 and 16 and March 15 & 29 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke’s Church in the library. The group provides a safe, accepting, and confidential space where you can share and be supported in your feelings, as well as benefit from resources and education. Basin Recreation is holding its 11th annual Backyard Campout Night and their first Movie in the Park of the summer! Enjoy your favorite backyard games while you set up your tent; ‘Back to the Future’ will show at dusk.Begins Saturday, June 15 at 7:00pm at Trailside Park. $20 per tent spot - movie is free
Basin Recreation kicks off summer with a 5K fun run, featuring powdered paint stations that will colorfully entertain. A 1-mile run and a 100-yard dash (ages 4 and under) will follow. Held at Willow Creek Park on June 8 from 9am-Noon. Cost is $15 per person or $50 per family. Basin Rec is also looking for volunteers to help during the event! Interested in becoming a lifeguard but need your certification? Basin Recreation is hosting a Lifeguard Certification Course. This is a hybrid course with all lectures taking place online prior to the in-person certifications, which are scheduled for May 31, June 1, June 14 and June 15. Participants will learn how to act in emergency situations both in and out of the water at aquatic facilities with topics covering water rescue skills, surveillance and recognition, CPR and AED, and more.
