COVID-19 Thursday Update

Utah Department of Health released new numbers Thursday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state.


There are 3,612 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide, up 167 from Wednesday. Summit County has 343 cases, up two from Wednesday. Thirty-one patients have been hospitalized, the same amount of cases since Saturday. Wasatch County has 127 confirmed cases, up three Wednesday. Six have been hospitalized, the same amount of hospitalizations since Saturday.    

Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 1,889. Utah County has the second most cases in the state with 611, Summit County has the third most. 301 people have been hospitalized statewide.      

UDOH says 80,627 people have been tested in Utah. 35 residents have died as a result of COVID-19, one more than the day before.
