Park City Municipal is one seat short of a full Public Art Advisory Board and Sunday is the deadline to throw your name in for consideration. Melissa Allison brings us the story:
If you’re a resident within the Park City limits and want to give back to the community, Special Events Manager Jenny Diersen said this is a perfect way to go.
“Some of the board members have experience being an artist or a business person,” Diersen said. “And really its about understanding our community and just wanting to be a part of the community and serve on a public board.”
The board meets the second Tuesday of each month.
“We usually have about a two-hour meeting,” Diersen said. “And then sometimes there is out of meeting homework if we have selections to look through, selection packets and things like that. So, it could be, you know, anywhere between five and eight hours a month, just depending on when.”
An example of the boards work is the China Bridge parking garage murals and Diersen said they have some great projects coming up including the utility boxes and others.
