A former Park City resident was killed while riding his motorcycle and hit a car that had pulled out in front of him. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.
According to the Associated Press, 66 year old Stephen “Julio” Florio was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in Tucson AZ, when a small sedan pulled out in front of him from a side street. Florio laid the motorcycle on its side but was unable to avoid hitting the car. The 16 year old drive of the sedan wasn’t hurt and immediately stopped and cooperated with investigators. Three teenage passengers in his car were also unhurt. No citations have been issued.
Florio was a mortgage consultant working in Tucson. He had worked as a loan originator in Park City for more than 11 years back in the 1990’s and early 2000s. In addition to riding his motorcycle he also loved to ski race.
