Both Heber and Midway City Councils meet Tuesday evening. On the city’s agendas include discussions about Heber’s Main Street, and a potential preliminary approval for a new subdivision in Midway.
Heber City Council meeting takes place at 6:00 pm at the City Offices items on the agenda include a presentation from the Community Alliance for Main Street also known as CAMS another presentation will come from the Children’s Justice Center.
The council will also consider whether to cover flood damages for five homes located on 400 South. The homes were affected on January 27th when a high-pressure water main ruptured. The city’s liability insurance company found that there was no negligence on the part of the city. The city’s insurance plans to extend no-fault coverage of $5,000 to each of the homes affected by the leak. The council will discuss whether the city should voluntarily cover losses above the no-fault coverage.
Another consideration for the council will be regarding whether to offer an extension to Red Ledges on an obligation to build a portion of a road connecting the northeastern portion of Heber known as the Eastern Bypass. Red Ledges is obligated to build the portion before October 31st but is requesting an extension on the deadline.
Also meeting at 6:00 pm in the Midway Community Center is the Midway City Council. Midway city council will discuss an ordinance regarding cul-de-sacs and the length of roads. As well as potentially grant preliminary approval for the Hidden Haven Subdivision located at 800 East Main Street.
