At an assembly yesterday one lucky Wasatch High School student was given a brand-new car.
For the entirety of the 2018-2019 school year students walked past a 2018 Chevy Camaro outside of Wasatch High School with the words Cool 2 Care written on the side. Throughout the school year students were recognized for social and academic achievements by high school staff with Cool2Care cards.
At an end of the year assembly on Tuesday one lucky student’s name was drawn out of those cards and awarded the new car.
30 students were called to the front of the auditorium where the Camaro sat on stage. Each student was handed a key fob, only one would be able to start to car. One by one students attempted to start the car.
A variety of numbers were called out in random order until the student with key fob #12 stepped forward and placed his key in the ignition.
That’s when Wasatch Senior Levi Bodily won the new car.
The car was wholly donated by Labrum Chevrolet Buick Ford of Heber City. This is the 8th year that owner Danny Labrum and his dealership have donated a new car. The car is not a lease or a loan but is now completely owned by the lucky student.
