No New COVID-19 Fatalities in Utah Reported Sunday

 The Utah Department of Health released new numbers Sunday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state. No new deaths were reported since Saturday.

 

There are 4,123 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide, up 175, or 4%, from Saturday. Summit County has 357 cases, up two from Saturday. Thirty-two patients have been hospitalized, up from thirty-one, which is the first increase in hospitalizations in the county in one week. Wasatch County has 138 confirmed cases, up six since Saturday. The number of hospitalizations in Wasatch County has held steady for more than a week.

 

Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 2,144. Utah County has the second most cases in the state with 777, making Summit County the third highest case count in Utah. 

 

345 people have been hospitalized statewide. The health department estimates that 1,568 people have recovered from COVID-19.

UDOH says 95,702 people have been tested in Utah.  Utah’s rate of positive cases is 4.3% of those tested.
