With All The New Snow, Wasatch County Search And Rescue Stays Busy

Wasatch County Search & Rescue

With all the new snow, Wasatch County Search and Rescue had to help two different groups stuck in winter conditions.

Wasatch County Search and Rescue spent two hours rescuing a group of teenagers on Friday evening.

The group of 4 adolescents were stuck in snow at the upper end of Lake Creek after their side-by-side was stuck. They called dispatch for help, and the kids returned safely to Heber.

By Saturday evening Wasatch Backcountry had received two feet of snow, which stranded two men near Timberlakes.

The 57-year-old father and 32-year-old son got stuck on snowmobiles. Search and Rescue spent over three hours locating and helping the men. The men were tired but in good condition, according to a Facebook post from Wasatch County Search and Rescue.

Search and Rescue also added that anyone who goes out to the mountain should be prepared, especially during winter conditions.
