Sail PC Junior Program Director and Head Coach Christian Koules said this will be the largest event the team has hosted.
The U.S. Adult Sailing Championship will be held from Sept. 26 through Sept. 28 and will bring in male and female sailors from across the country to compete for the Clifford D. Mallory Trophy.
U.S. Sailing said the competition, founded in 1952 was originally an all-male event but transitioned into an open event starting in 1993, where coed or all-female teams could compete for the championship title.
No sailing team from Park City has ever won the trophy.
