Scientists are working to limit global temperature rise to 2 degrees Celsius. Beyond that point, scientists worry that catastrophic impacts of warming become irreversible.

According to NOAA scientists, the global surface temperature for 2022 was the sixth highest since record keeping began in 1880. Jake Fortune dives into the reasons behind it and possible consequences of such warm temperatures.
