As the school year draws to a close high school state lacrosse, baseball, softball and soccer tournaments are underway .
After wins in the first two rounds of the state tournament. South Summit High School boys’ soccer team will play in the semifinals Thursday at noon against Summit Academy. If South Summit wins their game at Juan Diego High School, they’ll advance to the title match Friday at 4:00 pm at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Wasatch High School will begin their state soccer tournament on Tuesday playing at home at 4:00 pm. If the Wasps win, they’ll play in the quarterfinals next Friday.
Both Park City and North Summit have been eliminated from their respective state soccer tournaments.
State softball is also underway. North Summit plays in the opening round of their tournament on Thursday at The Canyons Softball Complex in St. George. North Summit will play two games on Thursday, their first game will be at 11:00 am. The tournament ends on Saturday.
Park City’s state softball tournament begins Saturday in Cedar City. The lady miners play twice on Saturday, their first game will be at noon.
Wasatch begins their state softball tournament on Tuesday, with the Wasps likely to play at home at 4:00 pm. The Wasps will play the next round of the tournament next Thursday at 4:00.
South Summit qualified for the state tournament but was eliminated.
The state baseball tournaments also start this week.
Park City baseball plays on Saturday in Spanish Fork. The miners play two games on Saturday the first one at 11:00 am. The tournament continues next Wednesday.
Wasatch High School’s state baseball tournament starts on Monday, with a second game coming on Tuesday.
Both North Summit and South Summit Baseball seasons have finished.
Finally, varsity boys Park City Lacrosse won their first game of the state tournament they play again on Friday if they win, their season will continue next Wednesday.
