On April 27, 2020, the then CEO of Nikola Corporation, Trevor Milton was a guest on Mountain Money. Nikola was in the business of producing emission free trucks. Milton painted an optimistic picture about the state of business.
On July 29, 2021, Milton was indicted for securities and wire fraud. He was also sued civilly by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
