With her first term nearing its end, Park City Councilmember Nann Worel says she will be seeking re-election to another four-year term in office.
Worel was elected in 2015 and took office in January 2016. The Hidden Oaks resident will unveil her platform for this election cycle on June 3 at an announcement party.
"I love having the opportunity to serve this community, and being on Council has given me an entirely different perspective of the depth and knowledge that’s available here," Worel said. "I'm the liaison from our council to 12 different boards and commissions, and so it really gives me an opportunity to dive deep and see what's going on on a day-to-day basis."
Councilmembers Becca Gerber and Lynn Ware Peek’s positions are also open for election. Gerber said she would make an announcement regarding the City Council race soon, and Peek declined to comment.
Those who are interested in running can file declarations of candidacy with the City Recorder June 3 through June 7.
