The Utah Department of Health reported two more COVID-19 deaths on Saturday.
The Health Department said both of Saturday’s reported deaths occurred before March 18th. Neither of the deaths were from either Summit or Wasatch Counties.
To date, 2,159 Utahns have died of COVID-19. 11 have died in Summit County, 21 in Wasatch County.
407 new COVID-19 cases were reported across the state on Saturday. Five new cases were reported in Summit County, three in Wasatch County.
The statewide rolling seven-day average for positive tests is now 396 per day.
The statewide averages for the percentage of positive laboratory tests remained steady as well. The people-over-people average is now 7% and the tests-over-tests average is 3.4%.
143 Utahns are currently hospitalized with the disease, three more than Friday. Statewide COVID-19 referral center ICUs are now 70.9% full.
Over 32,000 doses of vaccine were administered over the last 24 hours. Statewide, over 1.6 million doses have been administered.
Summit county says 68% of people in the county have received at least one dose of the vaccine and Wasatch County says they have fully vaccinated 7,353 people.
