Wasatch Back Libraries Detail Plans to Return to Normal Operating Hours

More than a year after the Park City Library closed, it will resume its pre-pandemic hours next Monday, April 25, while the Summit County system has set a tentative date of May 3 and the Wasatch County system has not yet announced its reopening plans..

The Park City Library has been operating on a partial schedule since it reopened its doors to the public last month.

Starting April 26, the Park City Library will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m to 9 p.m.; from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Curbside pickup hours will continue every day from 2 to 5 p.m.

With the statewide mask mandate expired, the library can only recommend that patrons wear a mask and continue to social distance when visiting.

Study rooms, Wi-Fi and library computers are also available.

As for the Summit County Library system, Summit County Manager Tom Fisher says the county’s library branches are planning to reopen on May 3, but they’re staying flexible if anything changes.

The Wasatch County Library has not announced a full reopening. The library is currently open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is waiting for an all-clear from the Wasatch County Health Department to open to its pre-pandemic hours. Librarians are, however, available by phone.
