Park City Board of Education President Meredith Reed and Superintendent of Schools Lyndsay Huntsman share updates on school issues.

The Park City Board of Education discussed the upcoming budget approval, noting a $2.6 million withdrawal from reserves to avoid a tax increase. The board emphasized efficiency measures and a healthy fund balance.

The athletic fields project faced setbacks due to a 1986 ordinance, leading to a pivot to an East-West design.

Enrollment is expected to drop by over 100 students next year. The board is considering opening enrollment to manage staffing.

A new military policy was introduced, aligning with federal law. The board also addressed past personnel issues, including a $200,000 separation agreement with former CEO Mike Tanner, and clarified that special assignment contracts are temporary.
