A fire truck is seen responding at the intersection of Sun Peak Drive and Bear Hollow Drive.

The Park City Fire District says a woman went to the hospital in stable condition after she was hit by a car while walking in Sun Peak.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the Sun Peak neighborhood at the intersection of Sun Peak Drive and Bear Hollow Drive.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, the suspect fled east on Bear Hollow toward state Route 224. It is an active investigation, and deputies do not have suspects or leads at this time.

Deputies do believe the car was white and an older, smaller model. Anyone with information should contact the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
